Celebrate your birthday at experimenta
Would you like to celebrate your birthday with all your guests in a completely new and different way? Come and discover the world at experimenta and experience an unforgettable day – regardless of whether you are turning five or twelve. Our birthday parties last around two hours, and we accompany you and your guests.
Please note: Children’s birthday parties can be booked on any day of the week. We recommend booking early.

We would like to give you a few tips in advance:
- All birthday parties start at 2:30 p.m. and last 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Number of participants: 5–10 children
- Cost: €12 per child, minimum 5 children (€60), maximum 10 children;
2 accompanying adults required free of charge; each additional accompanying adult €11.
Please note the age recommendations for all formats!
The Zoo Workshop – Build Your Own Animal World format can only be booked on Wednesdays and Fridays and starts directly with the workshop.

Booking children’s birthday parties
Currently, only a few dates between April and July are still available.
Please let us know your three preferred dates for this period – we will try to find a suitable date for you.
Wind force 10 – A stormy day
Ready for takeoff! We get off the ground with you on your birthday! Make your own paper airplanes and test how far they can fly. Make balls, feathers and scarves hover in the air, and discover how to guide a kite. Learn that air isn’t nothing in fun experiments. We will also surprise you and your birthday guests with a puffed up, puffed out chocolate marshmallow experiment – guaranteed.
Naturally, a beautifully set birthday table is available for cake, beverages and presents you have brought along.

Where’s Kate – A search for adventure
Ahoy, ye landlubbers! Moon pirate Willi urgently needs your help: her chicken Kate has been kidnapped! In costume, you embark on an expedition through experimenta. You have to find a treasure of gold to ransom Kate. On your journey, you will not only encounter a robber, but also learn how the starry sky can point the way.
Since “Where’s Kate” is starting in the forum, we are unfortunately unable to offer a birthday table. Instead, you can have a picnic and bring your own snacks and drinks. We will provide napkins and cups.

Workshop Zoo – Build your own animal world
Simply amazing! Celebrate an unforgettable birthday with your creative building adventure! Here you can design your own fantasy animals from UMT materials. With child-friendly tools, you can saw, sand, and screw. Whether it’s a crocodile or a dragon – anything is possible! At the end, you’ll have your own colorful zoo of homemade animals to take home with you!
“Workshop Zoo” takes place in our laboratories. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a birthday table there. Perhaps you would like to reserve a table in the experimenta restaurant instead?
Our offers are aimed at schoolchildren. For safety reasons, younger children are unfortunately not able to participate. We ask for your understanding.

Code X - A birthday full of mysteries
Watch out, Sherlock! Go on a mystery tour that takes you through experimenta. Solve brainteasers and find out what resources will take you to the next clue. Suspense is guaranteed on this tour on which you will learn exciting facts from the world of science. Work as a team and break the code! A great surprise awaits when the mission is successfully accomplished.
