Learning

How do you program a robot? How are gummy bears made? And how does a DNA analysis help to track down a perpetrator? Find out – in our eight well-equipped laboratories and our test kitchen. There you’ll find everything you need to find the answers. Under expert guidance, school classes and kindergarten and preschool groups can immerse themselves in the world of science and engage in research themselves in over 60 different courses. The courses cover many subjects that are part of the Baden-Wuerttemberg school curriculum. There is much here for adults to discover, too – for example in our test kitchen they can experience the mysteries of molecular gastronomy.

How does it work? Explore it yourself in our courses.

The best learning is through doing something yourself. That’s why exciting experiments are central in our eight laboratories and our test kitchen. In over 2,500 square meters, kindergarten and preschool groups, school classes, and groups find out for themselves how things work.

SciDay

Science for all – simply explained
SciDay is a series of scientific lectures for anyone 14 and older. The changing themes are varied and range from astronomy to biology, chemistry, and physics, up to computer science. For these we regularly invite experts from renowned universities and research institutions. Audience members can experience a university lecture live for themselves. If there are questions after the roughly hour-long lectures, at the end audience members can exchange ideas with the speakers about current research projects, choice of a field of study, and life as a scientist.
